Our Story - WhenISayGo.Com

Since our opening in August of 2024, we have grown to offer nearly two hundred beautiful and creative products that we hope will add style and enjoyment to your home, office and life.

We feature the work of professional artists, both classic artists in the public domain and contemporary artists under contract, to produce unique home/office mugs, travel mugs and tote bags. One unique feature of our products is that we include the name of the artwork and also the artist on each piece. We consider it an act of professional respect for our artists and a service for our customers.

At present, we are a small enterprise. Small, but professional. We aren't aiming to take over the Internet, just to run a reliable, honest business providing you with quality products that meet or exceed your expectations. We like to think that we are bringing a bit of beauty and meaning to your life in the items we offer. We hope you agree.

Creating Our Products

As the Proprietor of When I Say Go, I create most of the products you find in our store. That includes working with our featured artists to utilize their artwork on the various products we offer. I listen carefully to the opinions of our artists and my trusted family members about what is right for our store.

Currently, we offer a variety of products featuring the work of artist Jim Cone, voted Best Visual Artist of 2024 by Connect Savannah. Jim is a resident of Savannah, GA, where I also grew up. We also feature the work of Jeanne Jas Scherff, a creative photographer/designer out of New England, and Mary Kamerer, an internationally known impressionist painter from Charlotte, North Carolina. Finally, we are happy to include the work of Sarah Nicholas, an artist and art teacher from North Carolina, with her exceptional nature photography.

I am open to collaborating with new artists and photographers. If you want to propose your own images for featuring on our products, contact me at WhenISayGoStore@gmail.com. If you are willing to help inform your current and future followers about your products in our store, I'm willing to create the products for us to sell. We offer an equitable sharing of revenues generated.

Short Personal Bio

If you are interested in my personal background, I'll share a bit of that with you. Most of my working career was spent in sales and marketing. I am retirement age now, but certainly not retired. Through WhenISayGo.Com, I am pursuing my interests in art and eCommerce.

I am also a writer -- tv/film scripts and books. None of my scripts have been produced to-date (still hoping), but I have self-published three of my books. Go to Amazon.com, click on "Books," then search for What Red Wrote. The books are filled with "passages" from a fictional golf caddie by the name of Red Barker. You'll find the books entertaining, thoughtful and frequently humorous. Only the third book -- the green book -- is mostly about golf. The other two are general in nature. I also have recently completed a novel titled Finding Cold Creek, for which I am now seeking representation.

Artistic Heritage

My mother, now departed, was an outstanding watercolor artist. I hope to reflect a bit of her artistic talent in the products we offer through WhenISayGo.Com. Nothing will be offered unless I think it is something we can take pride in, which will reflect well on our artists, and that you will be happy to own. When you have your morning coffee or tea in one of our mugs, I want you to enjoy seeing again the image(s) on it. Same with when you run errands or have an outing using one of our tote bags.

Thank you for visiting WhenISayGo.Com and, if you like what you see, please tell your friends to visit, as well.
